1. Carefully brush-off all dust and debris and apply a coat of an appropriate EXPAND-Tite primer to the area where the EXPAND-Tite Waterstop is to be placed on the standing structural member. |

2. Using moderate hand pressure, with the heel of the hand, press a continuous bead of EXPAND-Tite Waterstop firmly into position on the standing structure. Check to be certain that the sealant has bonded to the primed area. |
2. Always use an appropriate EXPAND-Tite primer product on both mating surfaces. |
3. Peel the protective backing from the exposed side of the EXPAND-Tite Waterstop. Knead the overlapped ends together to form a continuous, uninterrupted gasket. |
3. Apply EXPAND-Tite Waterstop to lap joint or tongue & groove joint in the location where the maximum compression is expected to occur. |
4. Pour the mating structural member into position |
4. Using moderate hand pressure, with the heel of the hand, press a continuous bead of EXPAND-Tite Waterstop firmly into position on the structure |

5. Remove the protective backing and knead overlapped ends together to form a continuous, uninterrupted gasket. |

6. Assemble mating precast structures into position. |
